Word on WiFi
Two Daily News pieces give more info on the city's possible WiFi plans:
- a short interview with Dianah Neff, the city's "chief information officer" on rationale for the project
- some concrete points about how infrastructure would be put in place and how it would work (derived from more of that interview)

For those who are interested, a complaint has been filed with the PA Public Utilities Commission requesting investigation of fraud and collusion by Verizon. Verizon failed to build a promised fiber optic network for the Commonwealth, in breach of a now decade old commitment. "CUSTOMERS PAID AN ESTIMATED $1135 PER HOUSEHOLD FOR NON-EXISTENT NETWORKS THEY WILL NEVER RECEIVE."
